Within the visit of Secretary of the Environment Gabriel and SPD-Secretary-General Heil at IAV in Gifhorn, different strategic(?) projects in IAV's development were presented. Besides the inductive energy transmission into driving electric vehicles, topics like exhaust-heat-recycling through thermo-electric generators and the newest generation of naturalgas injection systems were covered. Moreover, UMC, the young spin-off of the DLR, was given the opportunity to present the current stage of development of the FPLG. Kurt Blumenröder (spokesman executive board IAV), Wilfried Nietschke (Member of executive board and head of Technology-Monitoring), Steffen Lintz (Innovationsmanagement) und Dr. Markus Gräf (CTO Universal Motor Corporation GmbH) explain the FPLG's technology and the possible fields of application in range extender vehicles and combined heat and power plant in connection with the flex-fuel capabilities of the FPLG.
